In this episode I speak with Irfan Chaudhry, Director, Office of Human Rights, Diversity, and Equity and Sessional Instructor in Sociology at MacEwan University. We will focus our discussion on the article he co-wrote entitled: Expressing and Challenging Racist Discourse on Facebook: How Social Media Weaken the “Spiral of Silence” Theory.

My discussion with Dr. Jae Ran Kim was very informative, and I believe we explored a topic that is quite unfamiliar to many people – Korean children adopted by American parents and the identity issues they may face. We also touched briefly on Asian stereotypes, including the “model minority myth”.

This discussion is with Professor Ilana Redstone Akresh from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Professor Akresh and I are two sociologists with an interest in preserving viewpoint diversity and free speech.

Dr. Amari Johnson of Temple University talks about his research. We talk about maroons in Jamaica and Brazil, we talk about Brown v. Board of Education, and black professionals living in black communities

Dr. Lee Bebout is an Associate Professor at Arizona State University in the Department of English. Dr. Bebout and I spoke about whiteness and whiteness studies.

This is an interview with Heather Mac Donald about portions of her new book, The Diversity Delusion.
